Echte Bakker

The Echte Bakkersgilde is a Dutch collective of artisan bakers, established in 1967. Bringing together around 120 bakers and 300 shops across the country, it helps customers find local bakeries known for friendly service and consistently high-quality products. Members bake fresh bread, pastries and related products, combining traditional craftsmanship with daily freshness and appealing flavours.

Quality is central to the collective’s promise. Products made by member bakers are assessed throughout the year by the Nederlands Bakkerij Centrum against strict standards, which form the guild’s quality benchmark. The bakers also focus on hygiene, personal service and creating a welcoming in-store experience. By sharing knowledge and continually working to improve, members aim to distinguish their craft and offer customers delicious products for everyday enjoyment.

Customers can use the Echte Bakker website to locate a nearby bakery or purchase an Echte Bakker Gift Card, redeemable for artisan products at participating bakers. The full purchase amount goes to the local baker, supporting independent businesses.
