The Eckhart Society

The Eckhart Society is a charitable organization dedicated to the study and promotion of Meister Eckhart, the medieval theologian, philosopher and mystic. It welcomes anyone interested in his life and teachings, regardless of faith or belief, and seeks to unite high standards of scholarship with spiritual inquiry. Its aims include deepening understanding and appreciation of Eckhart’s writings, supporting research into his life and work, and exploring the relevance of his teaching to interreligious dialogue.

The Society offers opportunities to learn through an annual three-day conference, featuring scholars of Eckhart and speakers from related disciplines and religious traditions. Its online events include Meister Eckhart’s Table Talks. Members and visitors can also explore the Society’s Review, newsletters, news and event listings, alongside resources such as bibliographies, suggested reading, useful texts and talks on Eckhart and prayer. The website provides information about membership and conference registration, as well as a shop featuring Society publications and audio books.
