About ECLIPSE SEGURO
ECLIPSE SEGURO is a Spanish citizen initiative focused on helping the public assess the safety of solar eclipse glasses and filters. Ahead of major eclipses expected in 2027 and 2028, it offers an amateur, document-based review of products against the EN ISO 12312-2:2015 standard. Its guidance highlights certification, CE marking, an EU representative and compliance with the European Commission’s Blue Guide as factors to check.
The site provides an indicative list of reviewed eyewear, safety advice and medical protocols for observing the Sun, including information on the risk of lasting eye damage from unsuitable or damaged filters.
