About ECLJ
The European Centre for Law and Justice (ECLJ) is a renowned international Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) committed to advancing and safeguarding human rights across Europe and beyond. With its special Consultative Status before the United Nations/ECOSOC since 2007, the ECLJ effectively engages in legal, legislative, and cultural matters through advocacy, education, and litigation. One of the core focuses of the ECLJ is the protection of religious freedoms and the dignity of individuals.
The organization actively operates within the European Court of Human Rights and utilizes mechanisms provided by prominent international bodies like the United Nations, the Council of Europe, the European Parliament, and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) to champion these causes. Guided by Christian inspiration, the ECLJ aligns its actions with the spiritual and moral values that underpin European heritage and contribute to individual freedom, political liberty, and the rule of law, all fundamental aspects of democracy. Founded in 1998 by Jay Alan Sekulow and Thomas Patrick Monoghan, the ECLJ has expanded its international presence, with affiliate offices in Israel, Kenya, Pakistan, the US, and Zimbabwe.
The organization operates as a non-profit and does not charge for its services. At the helm of the ECLJ is Jay Sekulow as the Chief Counsel, who also holds the same position at the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), an organization focusing on constitutional law. The Director General of the ECLJ is Dr.
Grégor Puppinck. By promoting the principles that embody genuine democracy, the ECLJ remains dedicated to its mission of defending human rights and fostering a world that upholds and protects the dignity of every individual
