The East Coast Music Association (ECMA) is a regional collaboration of people in the music industry in Atlantic Canada. As a registered non-profit association, our dedication is to the music of Atlantic Canada. Our mission is to develop, advance, and celebrate East Coast Canadian music, its artists, and industry professionals throughout the region and around the world.

We advocate for our members to ensure they can sustain music careers while based in Canada's Atlantic region. As a member-driven organization, we provide year-round support, advocacy, and recognition to professionals working in all areas of the music industry at all stages of their careers. We create opportunities for growth and connection within the industry.

With over 30 years of experience, we understand the complex challenges facing East Coast musicians and are committed to making the world a better place through music. We believe in the power of music to build communities, industries, and economies. Music helps us celebrate, persevere, focus, create, and connect.

We remain focused on developing and growing the industry in our region by fostering a community committed to our members' success. Throughout the years, we have adapted and embraced changes in the music industry, from changing trends to digital revolutions and disruptions caused by a global pandemic. We provide ongoing support, education, and opportunities to our members, promoting diversity across genres, age, race, and gender identities.

Membership in ECMA is open to individuals from any sector of the music industry or those who support it. We currently have over 1,000 members, including musicians, artists, agents, managers, record companies, studios, media, corporations, and retailers.
