Ecomoni

Ecomoni makes biodiversity measurable through continuous, objective monitoring in natural areas. Its smart field sensors automatically detect and record relevant observations, helping reveal patterns and trends that short surveys or individual observers may miss. The technology is designed to strengthen fieldwork, not replace it, by providing more extensive data that can be collected over time and scaled to different monitoring needs.

Ecomoni monitors several types of environmental signals. Audio sensors identify birds, bats and insects; other tools detect movement and presence, capture images of wildlife, and measure climate and local conditions that may influence animal activity. Its applications include presence detection, bioacoustic bird monitoring, digital transects, nest-box monitoring and insect monitoring.

The resulting data supports ecological analysis, assessment and decision-making by ecologists, land managers and knowledge partners. Ecomoni also offers its Basiskwaliteit Natuur monitor to help organizations assess what biodiversity measures deliver in practice. The company serves ecological consultancies, landowners, area managers, government bodies and other public organizations, providing evidence to inform management and planning.
