Ecoazioni

Ecoazioni is an Italian organisation working in environmental protection and sustainable development through research, planning and participatory projects. Its work spans different scales, from buildings and cities to wider territories, helping public and private stakeholders address environmental and local-development challenges. Services include urban and territorial plans, urban regeneration, ecological networks, environmental remediation, transport and mobility planning, energy plans, acoustic zoning, and strategic, impact and habitat assessments. Ecoazioni also undertakes European and national research projects on renewable energy, green building, sustainable mobility, socioeconomic evaluation, public participation and local development.

A key part of its approach is involving communities in decision-making. The organisation develops and facilitates participatory processes using methods such as European Awareness Scenario Workshops, Open Space Technology, focus groups and structured project planning. Its work also includes Local Agenda 21 programmes, environmental reporting and action plans, environmental accounting, green procurement, and ISO 14000 and EMAS initiatives. Ecoazioni provides environmental education and training for public and private organisations, including school programmes, and makes publications on topics such as energy, participation, ecological urban planning and environmental assessment available to readers.
