Ecoffins is a UK manufacturer and supplier of handcrafted, environmentally friendly coffins, caskets and shrouds. For over 20 years, the company has worked with skilled weavers using traditional techniques to create products from natural, renewable and biodegradable materials. Its range includes willow and English willow, bamboo, Pandanus, banana leaf and cardboard coffins, as well as traditional and pod caskets, children’s options, ashes caskets, scattering tubes and shrouds. Accessories, ashes jewellery and personalisation options are also available, including bespoke colours, decorations and engravings.
The company emphasizes responsible sourcing, quality craftsmanship and environmental care. Its banana and Pandanus products come from workshops accredited by the World Fair Trade Organization, while its UK-made cardboard coffins use more than 70% recycled materials. Ecoffins states that its products contain no plastic, metal, screws or staples. The company supplies funeral professionals and funeral homes rather than selling directly to the public. Products can be ordered through a local funeral director, with UK delivery available through funeral directors.
