Ecological Services

Ecological Services Australia (ESA) is a specialist ecological consulting and research organisation serving public, private, community and academic clients. Its mission is to advance ecological stewardship, protect biodiversity and restore ecosystem health through accurate, comprehensive, evidence-based scientific information. ESA develops tailored solutions using rigorous, innovative and best-practice methods while balancing project and commercial outcomes.

Its ecological services help land managers understand the communities on their land and make informed conservation decisions. Offerings include ecological and biodiversity surveys, wildlife population monitoring, species and conservation plans, environmental impact assessments, independent research, fieldwork and project management. ESA also provides fire ecology expertise, including burn planning, bushfire risk assessments, vegetation assessments, restoration plans, cultural burn integration and post-burn monitoring.

For climate and disaster resilience, the organisation supports governments, businesses and communities with vulnerability assessments, mitigation and adaptation initiatives, emergency response plans, after-action reviews and simulation exercises. ESA is a social enterprise that donates at least 50% of its year-end profits to research and conservation initiatives protecting wildlife and preserving or restoring ecosystems.
