EcoNova

EcoNova Education is a Canadian nonprofit organization dedicated to making environmental and climate education accessible to young people, schools, adults, and communities. Through interactive workshops, educational programs, classroom projects, and community initiatives, it helps participants build the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to take positive environmental action. Its experiential approach combines discussion, storytelling, games, creative activities, and hands-on learning, with offerings available in person and online.

Programs cover topics such as plant growth, food waste, wildlife, biodiversity, and fungi. For example, students can explore germination through a practical classroom activity, learn everyday ways to reduce food waste with an anti-waste superhero workshop, or consider how people can coexist with Canadian carnivores such as coyotes, black bears, and lynx. EcoNova also offers educational projects, publications, training, and resources for primary and secondary education. Its workshops are designed to make environmental concepts engaging and relevant while encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and shared responsibility.
