Eco-Schools Greece is a national environmental education network coordinated by the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature, which also participates in the international Foundation for Environmental Education network. It supports schools across Greece in making sustainability part of learning and everyday school life, encouraging students, teachers, and families to work together on practical environmental issues.

Participating schools undertake activities such as reducing waste, conserving energy and water, and improving school grounds. The network offers guidance on the programme’s implementation, including its seven-step process, and provides educational resources such as a downloadable information booklet. It also shares school projects and news, helps users find participating schools, and invites schools to apply to join.

Professional development is another part of its work, with training seminars for primary and secondary educators. Schools can present their work at network events and festivals, and those recognized for their efforts may receive the Eco-Schools Green Flag.
