EcoVation Bangladesh (formerly known as Liter of Light Bangladesh) (Bengali: ইকোভেশন বাংলাদেশ) is a social enterprise established in February 2015 by Shanjidul Alam Seban Shaan. It provides free-of-cost eco-friendly lighting solutions to poor communities such as coastal area, hill tract area, island, slum, and refugee camps in Bangladesh. It researches and innovates easy-to-make lighting solutions out of easily available materials like plastic bottles, solar panels, bamboo, battery, etc. The organization also researches about bioplastic, plastic recycling, hydropower, and plastic fuel. It implements the technology it innovates by giving it to the community for free-of-cost. They run livelihood projects helping poor communities to learn their technology and start micro-enterprise. Their projects served around 1000 entrepreneurs including Rohingya refugees in Cox's Bazar. Liter of Light Bangladesh is working to achieve the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals, precisely SDG7, SDG9, SDG11 & SDG17.

About EcoVation Bangladesh
EcoVation Bangladesh is a research and innovation-based social enterprise that is dedicated to changing lives through innovative solutions. Their projects focus on various areas such as renewable energy, clean water, menstrual hygiene, livelihood, and micro-enterprising, among others. By tackling these vital problems in society, EcoVation Bangladesh aims to make a positive impact and contribute to the achievement of the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals.
Their initiatives include projects like Project LightGiver, where volunteers create solar lamps and streetlights to improve the living standards of electricity-deprived communities. They also have Project SolarPreneur, an enterprise development program that trains underprivileged youth to make and sell solar lights for their livelihood. Another notable project is Project Bishuddha Pani, which provides marginalized communities with safe access to purified water through solar-powered water purifying systems.
Furthermore, EcoVation Bangladesh is actively involved in addressing menstrual hygiene issues through Project MyPad, which empowers underprivileged females by training them to make reusable sanitary napkins from garment scraps. They have also extended their support to Rohingya refugees through various projects.
In their efforts to reduce plastic use and promote eco-friendly alternatives, EcoVation Bangladesh has launched Project AntiPlastic, where they design and promote alternatives such as clay and bamboo utensils. They also recycle plastic to make lights and eco-bricks, while researching eco-friendly processes for manufacturing clay brick alternatives.
Since their inception in 2015, EcoVation Bangladesh has implemented 89 projects and campaigns, empowering 117 communities and directly impacting the lives of 40,000 people. Their innovative and impactful solutions have resulted in a reduction of 60,500 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
By joining forces with nonprofit organizations, university clubs, and community service entities through Project LightUpTogether, EcoVation Bangladesh aims to spread their innovations and technologies nationwide. They provide training and tutorials to enable others to adopt their technology and bring light to their own communities.
EcoVation Bangladesh has gained recognition and support from various partners and stakeholders who acknowledge the positive impact of their projects. Together, they are working towards building a brighter future and creating meaningful change in society.
