Ecsite is the European network of science centres and museums, linking science engagement professionals in more than 300 organisations and 50 countries. Ecsite’s vision is to foster creativity and critical thinking in European society, emboldening citizens to engage with science. Its mission is to inspire and empower science centres, museums and all organisations that engage people with science, and to promote their actions. Founded in 1989, Ecsite connects member institutions through projects and activities and facilitates the exchange of ideas and best practice on current issues.

About Ecsite
Ecsite is the European network of science centres and museums, committed to inspiring people with science and technology while fostering dialogue between science and society. With over 350 member organisations, Ecsite gathers a diverse community dedicated to promoting scientific engagement and representing its members' interests. Ecsite is currently conducting a fundamental review of its strategy to ensure a stable and solid future for the entire network.
All Ecsite members are encouraged to participate in this process and engage in strategy design activities throughout the year. Located in Brussels, the Ecsite Executive Office is strategically positioned near the European institutions, making it easily accessible to members. This multinational team of professionals plans and delivers member services, facilitates information exchange among members, leads or contributes to European projects, and collaborates with host organizations to organize Ecsite events.
