ECTRIMS is a non-profit organization and the largest professional organization dedicated to the understanding and treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS) in Europe and the world. Founded in the early 1980s, ECTRIMS aims to strengthen communication and promote research, care, and learning among professionals to benefit people affected by MS. Their mission is to facilitate communication, create synergies, and enhance research and learning among professionals.

With a vision to improve basic and clinical research and clinical outcomes in MS, ECTRIMS collaborates with researchers and clinicians from member countries and other organizations globally. They support and promote research, provide education and teaching opportunities for professionals, act as a representative of the MS research community, and organize annual congresses and workshops. Additionally, ECTRIMS encourages young researchers through learning, training, and exchange programs.
