Ecurie de Merel

Ecurie de Merel is an equestrian centre in Nozay, in the Pays de la Mée between Nantes and Châteaubriant. The centre brings together horse boarding, a pony club and a reproduction centre, with an emphasis on equine welfare, safety and attentive care. Its boarding arrangements are tailored to suit individual horses. The pony club welcomes riders from 18 months old, offering an opportunity to discover and enjoy a passion for ponies and riding. The reproduction centre provides information and support for owners planning to breed their mares.

Set across 39 hectares of pasture, the facility includes an outdoor arena, a large indoor riding hall and 16 spacious boxes. Ecurie de Merel is run by a qualified riding and ethology instructor holding a BPJEPS, whose professional background also includes safety engineering. The centre works with equine professionals, including veterinarians, dentists and farriers, to support the horses in its care. With maintained facilities and an approach centred on horse well-being, Ecurie de Merel offers services for horse owners and riders of different ages.
