Ecuries d'Aiguillanes

Les Ecuries d’Aiguillanes is a family-oriented equestrian centre in Lesparrou, at the foothills of the Pyrenees near the border of Aude and Ariège. Open throughout the year, it welcomes adults and children for riding lessons, horseback rides and multi-day treks. Its mountain-raised horses are selected for their calm temperaments and versatility, making them suitable for discovering or developing a range of equestrian skills. The centre also offers holiday courses, horse boarding and training, and breeds Barb horses.

Rides and treks explore the region’s varied landscapes, where Mediterranean and mountain influences shape rich local flora. Routes include the Cathar castles, mountain passes and villages, with options ranging from weekend trips to journeys from the Pyrenees toward the Mediterranean. Along the way, visitors can discover the area’s natural heritage and history, including prehistoric caves, Romanesque art and the landscapes of the Cathar country.
