The European Dyslexia Association (EDA) is an independent, non-profit and non-political umbrella organisation connecting organisations concerned with dyslexia and dyscalculia across Europe. It supports collaboration, awareness and inclusion through its member network, academic committees and youth initiatives. Organisations can apply to become members, while young people aged 18–35 with dyslexia or dyscalculia are invited to join a European youth group to share experiences and help shape future activities.
EDA provides information and learning opportunities through resources, seminars, conferences and awareness events, including Dyslexia Awareness Day and Dyscalculia Day. Its online course, “Dyslexia: How to identify it and What to do,” is designed to help teachers recognise dyslexia and respond to learners’ needs in inclusive classrooms. The association also participates in European projects focused on inclusive teaching, neurodiversity at work and improving employment access for people with dyslexia. Through webinars and news updates, EDA shares developments in research, education and practice. Its work aims to encourage understanding and practical responses to learning differences across educational and professional settings.
