About Ed Advancement
Ed Advancement, formally the Partnership for Education Advancement, is a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on expanding social mobility through higher education. Its mission is to strengthen mission-focused colleges and universities that primarily serve low-income, first-generation, and under-resourced students and families. The organization works collaboratively with institutional partners, including historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), to help them advance their own missions and improve student outcomes.
Its services include individualized, scalable, and sustainable solutions supporting strategic enrollment, graduation, and advancement goals, as well as consulting and staffing assistance for colleges assembling and delivering financial aid packages through the Better FAFSA. Ed Advancement also participates in a U. S.
Department of Education effort supporting institutions that serve high proportions of federal aid recipients. Its work encompasses institutional infrastructure, technology, and operations. The organization reports partnerships with four HBCUs and 43 launched projects, with partner institutions serving approximately 19,000 HBCU students—nearly half of all current HBCU undergraduates
