The Edaren Foundation is a charitable organization that funds initiatives in education, the arts, and the environment. Founded with support from the success and community-minded generosity of Dorothy Anne and C.W. Conn Jr., the foundation reflects their commitment to giving back to the community, state, and country. Co-founder Elizabeth Waddill helped establish the organization around this philanthropic legacy.
Edaren supports innovative approaches to educational challenges in Texas, including those linked to population growth, diversity, economic disparity, and technological change. In the arts, it recognizes the importance of creative development for children and the contribution of a strong arts community to residents’ quality of life. Its environmental work combines funding for research, education, and action to build awareness and address challenges sustainably for present and future generations.
The foundation provides grants and partners with nonprofit and community organizations. Its featured initiatives include support for The Nature Conservancy’s Texas Chapter, Texas national parks, arts programs, a community garden, and educational services.
