Edelsmederij Verweij

Edelsmederij Verweij is a goldsmith’s studio in Veenhuizen, near Assen and Groningen, where goldsmith and designer Hildardjan Verweij creates distinctive, handcrafted jewellery. Combining skilled craftsmanship with careful attention to detail, the atelier offers a collection of ready-made pieces as well as personal designs developed in consultation with customers. Its work includes gold rings, pearl earrings, pendants, engagement rings and wedding bands, made with precious metals, gemstones and diamonds.

The studio is particularly known for individual wedding rings, including organic designs inspired by natural forms and rings engraved with a loved one’s fingerprint. It also creates memorial jewellery, such as rings, pendants and bracelets incorporating a small amount of ashes, handled with care and made to personal wishes. Visitors can explore the collection in the atelier’s exhibition space and receive advice on choosing or commissioning a piece. Edelsmederij Verweij also provides expert jewellery repair and alteration services, helping customers preserve and adapt treasured items.
