About European Disability Forum
European Disability Forum (EDF) is an umbrella organization that represents the interests of over 100 million individuals with disabilities in Europe. Comprised of representative organizations from across the continent, EDF is run by individuals with disabilities and their families, making it a strong and united voice advocating for the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities. The vision of EDF is to create a Europe where individuals with disabilities are fully integrated into society, experiencing equal treatment and inclusion.
Their mission is to ensure the full inclusion of individuals with disabilities in society by actively engaging in policy development, implementation, and monitoring. EDF actively promotes disability rights, working closely with European institutions such as the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the Council of the EU.
