Edgar Mohrmann & Co. is a German stamp and coin auction house founded in Lübeck in 1929 by merchant Edgar Mohrmann. Over more than eight decades, the company held over 200 auctions and became known for bringing buyers and sellers together to trade significant philatelic rarities. Its founder helped establish stamps as an accessible collectible investment, while the firm built its reputation on specialist knowledge, reliable auction results, discretion, and integrity.
Today, Edgar Mohrmann continues to serve collectors and sellers through auctions of stamps and coins. Its website provides auction result reports, selected results from recent decades, historical Mohrmann catalogues, and descriptions of past lots. The company also offers information for people wishing to sell stamps or coins and provides access to auction agents. Its work reflects an understanding of changing collecting interests and the expertise needed to assess items in the philatelic market. Now part of CG Collectors World, Edgar Mohrmann remains an established name in international stamp auctions, connecting clients with collectible material and the auction market.
