EDGE, or the Educational Disc Golf Experience, is a nonprofit organization founded in 2002 by passionate disc golfers dedicated to promoting disc golf among youth. Their mission is to enhance physical education in schools through an affordable curriculum that integrates disc golf fundamentals with lessons in math, science, fitness, and environmental studies. EDGE offers comprehensive educational resources, including curriculum packages and equipment, designed to engage students and encourage active lifestyles.
Over the years, EDGE has partnered with various organizations and provided over $300,000 in funding to support schools and youth programs, impacting more than 2 million youths with the joy of disc golf. Their team comprises esteemed professionals, including founding members Des and Jay Reading, both accomplished disc golfers and educators, who strive to inspire the next generation through sport. By fostering health, fitness, and social awareness, EDGE aims to create a positive change in communities through the engaging and inclusive nature of disc golf
