Märchenhaftes Thüringen

Märchenhaftes Thüringen presents children’s stories inspired by the forests and folklore of Thuringia, Germany. Its central offering is the Morgelgeschichten series by author Jens K. Carl, featuring Morgel, a woodland kobold, and his community near Komstkochsteich in the Thüringer Wald. Across multiple episodes, the tales combine imaginative, locally rooted settings with gentle themes of friendship, compassion, and solving problems creatively and without violence. Written for children and the young at heart, the stories are designed both for reading aloud and for young readers to enjoy independently.

The site offers numerous Morgelgeschichten episodes, including several released in parts, along with six themed coloring books. It also features Morgel songs, curated recommendations, and bundled options such as an introductory package and a Christmas package. Together, these books and related materials provide families with different ways to explore the characters and their story world. Märchenhaftes Thüringen’s focus is on warm, visually evocative, age-appropriate storytelling that celebrates regional landscape while encouraging kindness and imagination.
