EDM Ltd is a Manchester-based engineering company established in 1971, designing and manufacturing training and simulation solutions for civil aviation, defence and rail customers worldwide. With more than 50 years of engineering experience, the company manages design, manufacturing, mechanical and electrical integration, and project management in-house, and provides after-sales support.

Its products include aircraft door trainers, cabin service and evacuation trainers, full-size aircraft mockups, fire-fighting trainers, virtual reality trainers and SEPTRE systems for civil aviation. For defence and helicopter training, EDM offers procedure and maintenance trainers, ejection seats and G-seats, full-scale replicas, SMERAS devices and simulators. The company also develops rail simulators and other bespoke training equipment, designed for realism, safety and durability.

Alongside its training solutions, EDM provides precision engineering services, including five-axis machining, composite manufacturing, test rigs and fabricated components.
