Edmonton Potato Growers (EPG) is a renowned brand with a rich history in the Edmonton, Alberta area. Since its inception in 1960, a group of forward-thinking potato and vegetable farmers decided to revolutionize the conventional produce marketing industry. By working together and avoiding competitive practices, they aimed to enhance efficiency and profitability.
Over the years, EPG has emerged as one of North America's most respected and efficient potato marketing groups. In 1968, the brand took a significant leap by establishing a centralized sales and distribution system through the construction of a warehouse in west Edmonton. This move further solidified their cooperative approach and allowed them to supply fresh potatoes and various produce to markets in Edmonton and Calgary.
EPG's commitment to quality led them to venture into seed potato production, resulting in the cultivation of exceptional seed potatoes. As a result, their seed potatoes surpassed those from other regions, delivering excellent yields and commercial quality. Today, EPG's seed potato division plays a crucial role in their operations, catering to markets in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Russia, Thailand, India, and mainland China.
With a stellar reputation, EPG continues to produce top-notch seed potatoes with minimal disease levels and maximum vigor, upholding the same standards set by their founders nearly 50 years ago. Contact them today at 780. 447.
