EDSA

The European Down Syndrome Association (EDSA) is a non-profit organisation that supports and represents people with Down syndrome across Europe through a network of member associations. Its work promotes dignity, inclusion, quality of life, self-determination, autonomy and individualised support. EDSA advocates for the rights of people with Down syndrome and advances priorities including inclusive education, access to employment, guidance for adult life, genetic counselling, guardianship services, specialist training, positive public representation, and research and technology.

EDSA connects people, families and organisations through family exchanges, European advocacy and projects, campaigns for World Down Syndrome Day, and opportunities to find project partners. It also shares expertise through webinars, EDSA Talks, training courses, newsletters and resources, and invites experts to contribute knowledge and best practices on health, education, inclusion and independent living. The association highlights the work of its members and supports collaboration across countries. Its website provides information about Down syndrome, news and educational materials, including a toolkit on Down syndrome and dementia. Donations and membership help sustain its work across Europe.
