Eduardo Ghiggi Médico Veterinário is a veterinary clinic based in Lages, Santa Catarina, specializing in ophthalmology and dermatology for small animals. With 12 years of experience, the practice serves pets from across Santa Catarina and other Brazilian states and describes itself as a regional reference in veterinary eye care. Its services include consultations and advanced procedures for cataracts, glaucoma, eyelid and eyelash conditions, and pigmented keratitis.
The clinic also offers ophthalmic cryosurgery and microsurgery, rebound tonometry, ocular ultrasound, electroretinography, and amniotic membrane treatment. Cataract surgery is a particular area of expertise, and the practice says it was a pioneer in performing the procedure. Care is supported by modern equipment and techniques inspired by human ophthalmology, with an emphasis on attentive, compassionate treatment.
Dr. Eduardo Ghiggi is also a lecturer in professional development courses, a postgraduate supervisor, a reviewer for an international scientific journal, and a speaker at national and international events. Pet owners can arrange appointments online or contact the clinic by WhatsApp or phone
