Edukans is a Dutch education-focused nonprofit working to create learning opportunities for children and young people in East Africa. Based in Amersfoort, the organisation believes that quality education can transform lives and help every child and young person develop their talents. Its work focuses on strengthening the people and resources that make learning possible.

Edukans supports quality teacher training, helps educators develop their teaching skills, involves parents and local communities, and works to provide effective learning materials. Its projects also address practical barriers to education, including school dropout linked to drought, and provide vocational training that helps young people prepare for work. Initiatives highlighted by the organisation include sustainable education for the fashion and textile sector and efforts to keep girls in school through information and support.

Edukans works with donors, businesses, foundations, schools and churches, offering ways to contribute through donations, fundraising and partnerships. It also shares news, project updates and stories from learners and educators
