ED-VO

ED-VO is a swimming association based in Volendam, founded on 24 October 1974. Its home pool is Zwembad De Waterdam, where members take part in both competitive and recreational swimming. The association welcomes swimmers with different abilities and ambitions, offering opportunities to improve swimming skills, pursue personal goals and enjoy training as part of a group. Its activities include wedstrijdzwemmen (competitive swimming), recreational sessions and lane swimming. The club also invites children who have earned swimming certificates to continue developing their skills through swimming with ED-VO. Although the association previously had a water polo department, that section has since closed.

ED-VO organizes the Dick Steur Makelaars Zwemvierdaagse, a swimming event held annually; the 50th edition is scheduled for 28 June to 2 July 2027. Prospective members can contact the association by email or visit on a training evening. Members can reach the membership administration for administrative changes, while news and event updates are shared through the club’s website.
