The Episcopal Diocese of West Tennessee is a welcoming community united by our faith in Jesus Christ and guided by the Book of Common Prayer. Our diocese covers the entire Grand Division of West Tennessee, encompassing the region previously part of the Episcopal Diocese of Tennessee. We are led by Bishop Phoebe A.

Roaf and embrace the motto Ubique Inter Flumina, meaning everywhere between the rivers, in reference to the Tennessee and Mississippi rivers that border our region. As Episcopalians, we believe in the inclusive love of God, with no exceptions. Our church is committed to inclusivity, with individuals of all genders and sexual orientations serving as bishops, priests, and deacons.

We emphasize the importance of the Book of Common Prayer as a source of unity and worship, providing a treasure chest of devotional and teaching resources. The Bible is our foundation, supplemented by tradition and reason, and our worship is rooted in Scripture. Baptismal Covenant, the Catechism, the Creeds, and the Sacraments are integral to our faith and spiritual journey.
