EEA and Norway Grants

EEA Grants is a comprehensive funding initiative originating from the Economic Area of the European Economic Area (EEA), aimed at promoting social and economic equality across various beneficiary countries, including Spain. Spearheaded by contributions from Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein, EEA Grants has allocated €45.9 million to finance over 400 projects in Spain alone during the 2009-2014 funding period.

The brand focuses on key areas such as environmental sustainability, gender equality, cultural heritage conservation, and student mobility, with an overarching goal of fortifying bilateral cooperation. Notable projects include collaborations between Spanish enterprises and Norwegian counterparts aimed at reducing maritime emissions and the significant impacts of their funding programs extending to environmental and cultural sectors.

Additionally, EEA Grants highlights successful partnerships and makes contributions towards fostering active citizenship. Those interested can explore the rich history of cooperation through interactive publications and multimedia resources that showcase the beneficial impacts of these grants in Spain and beyond.
