About Eetos
Founded in 2004, Eetos is a Finnish association dedicated to sustaining, supporting, and promoting interdisciplinary and critical work and research in the humanities. It creates opportunities for discussion and exchange by organizing seminars, presentations, and lectures, and it publishes scholarly literature through its book series. The series is a nonprofit platform for critical, interdisciplinary, and creative research, and accepts proposals for both monographs and edited collections.
Eetos’s publications explore a wide range of subjects, including philosophy, ethics, religion and environmental crises, gambling research, art, poetry, and social experience. Recent and forthcoming titles include works on Deleuze and the logic of understanding, religion in an era of environmental crises, and the less visible dimensions of problem gambling. Some books are available to order, while selected works are offered as open access. Alongside its publishing programme, Eetos shares news and hosts events connected to its books and research community. Through these activities, the association supports thoughtful, critical approaches to humanities scholarship and makes research available to readers.
