Educational Foundation of Dexter

The Educational Foundation of Dexter (EFD) is a community-focused organization that raises funds to support education in Dexter, Michigan. Working alongside the Chelsea Education Foundation, EFD brings local communities together through fundraising initiatives, including the annual Rivalry Match, which channels community and sponsor contributions into educational grants. The campaign takes place around the Dexter versus Chelsea football game and highlights the shared goal of supporting schools and teachers in both communities.

EFD offers several grant and award programs, including Teacher-Authored Grants, District Grants for district initiatives, and the Dread Strong Awards. These programs help direct funding toward educational opportunities and priorities identified by teachers and the district. The foundation also welcomes donations and business partnerships, recognizing the sponsors and donors whose support helps sustain its work. Through its grant programs, fundraising events, and community connections, EFD provides a way for residents and businesses to contribute to local education. Its impact reports share information about the foundation’s work, while its website provides details on its mission, history, programs, and ways to help.
