Effata' APS Corleone

Effatà Corleone APS is an association in Corleone, Italy, created to support families and children and young people with disabilities, including autism and rare syndromes. Its work brings together families with shared experiences and aims to help address the limited availability of therapies in the local area. The association supports established therapies and promotes peer-based therapy, while also raising awareness of sensory challenges and the role of nutrition and supplements, with input from a nutritionist.

A central part of its activities is a small farm in the Madonna delle Vigne area, where therapies and outdoor experiences take place, particularly from April to September. The farm offers participants opportunities to spend time with animals and take part in activities designed to support wellbeing. Through its Narraorto project, young people with disabilities are creating a social garden and growing produce. Effatà also organises mutual-aid activities for families and runs a community olive harvest, producing social olive oil. Together, these initiatives combine family support, therapeutic experiences, inclusion and hands-on community participation.
