EFIC, the European Furniture Industries Confederation, represents furniture producers and related organisations across Europe. Its membership includes 17 national furniture industry associations, an individual company member and several clusters, with companies also able to join as associated members. EFIC represents around 80% of the European furniture industry’s total turnover. The wider sector employs approximately one million people across about 130,000 enterprises and generates more than €100 billion in turnover.
Based in Brussels, EFIC serves as the voice of the European furniture industry and a link between its members and European policymakers. It monitors relevant policy developments, builds common industry positions, provides members with legal and policy advice on EU regulatory initiatives, and shares sector expertise with European institutions. Its main policy priorities include the environment and circular economy, the EU Single Market, international trade, social dialogue, and intellectual property protection.
EFIC also supports dialogue on innovation opportunities and relevant EU funding programmes, and publishes position papers, annual reports, news and information about funded projects.
