About EFRE
The EFRE/JTF NRW Program aims to create a fair, sustainable, and economically viable future for North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), supported by the European Union and the state’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection, and Energy. Operating from 2021 to 2027, the program focuses on funding innovative projects that drive digital and green transformations across various sectors, particularly benefiting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), universities, and municipalities.
Key areas of support include innovation and research, promoting entrepreneurship and digitalization, environmental protection, and adjustments to climate change. The program also emphasizes sustainable urban development and offers specialized assistance for projects in coal-transition regions. As part of its comprehensive approach, the EFRE/JTF NRW provides guidance for potential beneficiaries, including administrative support and access to resources.
