About e-Governance Academy
With its establishment in 2002, eGA has become a center of excellence, driven by the joint efforts of the Government of Estonia, Open Society Institute (OSI), and the United Nations Development Programme. eGA offers a wide range of services to support the implementation of e-government initiatives. Their expertise includes consultancy, training, networking, research, and technical solution implementation.
They play a crucial role in policy planning and implementation, particularly in the development of interoperability frameworks and related legal and technical frameworks. Notably, eGA has successfully delivered digital transformation solutions in various transitional societies across Eastern and Central Europe, Asia, and Africa. They have also collaborated with several EU countries, offering their expertise and guidance.
As a subsidiary of eGA, eGA for the Caribbean Ltd (EGA4C) further extends their reach and impact. Moreover, eGA has established partnerships with prestigious organizations like the Global Forum on Cyber Expertise and the Estonian Information Security Association. The core values that underpin eGA's work are expertise, independence, client focus, impact, sustainability, and respect.
They ensure that their activities have a lasting effect on society while remaining environmentally conscious and fostering diversity and equal treatment. eGA's dedication to transparency and corruption prevention is evident through their measures such as annual declarations of economic interests by employees, reporting of conflicts of interest, and strict guidelines regarding gifts. They also organize regular information and training events to raise awareness among their employees.
Through their success stories, eGA showcases their accomplishments in areas such as cybersecurity, combatting corruption, e-democracy, and public service delivery. They take pride in actively sharing knowledge and best practices to drive the digital transformation of societies. To stay updated on the latest developments in e-governance and learn more about eGA's activities and events, individuals can subscribe to their newsletter.
For those interested in gaining practical experience, eGA offers unpaid internships for a duration of 1 to 3 months. Interns are expected to have or study for a Master's degree in a relevant field and possess strong English language skills. While eGA does not provide financial assistance or handle administrative matters, interns are provided with office space and internet access, and their tasks may include data gathering and processing.
eGA's commitment to enhancing digital governance and fostering prosperity and openness in societies around the world makes them an invaluable partner for organizations seeking transformation in the digital age
