EGAAD Consortium, the Egyptian African Arab Co. for Development, is a consortium focused on supporting construction and infrastructure development across Africa, with an emphasis on building Africa through African partnerships. Its work brings together member companies and local stakeholders to advance projects and development opportunities in the region.
A featured example is Madagascar’s first highway, connecting Antananarivo with the port of Toamasina, a project spearheaded by consortium member Samcrete Engineers and Contractors. EGAAD also highlights projects and partnerships in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, including engagements with Congolese authorities and support for initiatives such as the modernization of RTNC. Beyond project development, the consortium offers market studies, in-country assistance and logistics, networking, follow-up, and support.
It also promotes collaboration through forums and events, including co-organizing the Builders of Egypt Forum with the African Union of Construction Contractors Associations. Through its projects, services, and convening activities, EGAAD works to connect investors, companies, and public-sector partners with infrastructure and development opportunities across Africa
