Egedeniz Textile is a renowned brand with a rich history of 30 years in the certified organic apparel manufacturing industry in Western Türkiye, specifically in Izmir. Our journey began in the early 1900s, focusing on cotton trading and dried fruit supply. Over the years, we built strong partnerships with various stakeholders, including farmers, spinners, knitters, weavers, and dyers, ensuring a transparent supply chain.

In the 1950s, we expanded our horizons by exporting cotton and dried fruits to Western Europe and North America. This marked a significant milestone that set the stage for further growth and global reach. In the 1980s, we diversified our business by venturing into new sectors such as wheat flour and animal feed milling, while recognizing the rising demand for organic products.

During the early 1990s, we expanded into textile production and export, emphasizing sustainability and playing a pivotal role in promoting sustainable agricultural practices. In 1993, we became the first organic certified textile company in Türkiye, solidifying our position as a pioneer in environmentally conscious and sustainable textile manufacturing.

Our commitment to sustainability led us to become a proud member of Textile Exchange in 2003, allowing us to actively participate in a global community dedicated to sustainable textile practices. Furthermore, we established Ege Organics in Bremen, Germany, in 2013, to strengthen our focus on the German and European market, ensuring efficient delivery and catering to the specific needs of our European clients.

Taking a significant step towards sustainability, we installed a solar energy system in 2014, reducing our carbon footprint and promoting renewable energy sources. In 2017, we ventured into the cultivation of hemp and incorporated hemp blends into our product range, showcasing the potential of locally grown, eco-friendly materials.

In 2019, we separated our fabric and yarn departments to enhance focus and streamline processes, providing our customers with unmatched quality and an extensive selection of fabrics. We also launched Manifutura, an online fabric showroom dedicated to sourcing sustainable textiles for start-ups and SMEs, emphasizing organic lines, left-over fabrics, and upcycled options.

Since 2021, we have undertaken a regenerative agriculture project in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey, focusing on cotton protection. By implementing regenerative agriculture practices such as cover cropping and crop rotation, we aim to enhance soil health and organic matter levels, emphasizing the importance of revitalizing agricultural lands.
