Heartwood

Heartwood | Star MS is a charming brand rooted in the heart of Star, Mississippi, founded by brothers Jerry and Larry Glass over 20 years ago. Initially creators of homes, the duo shifted their focus to provide beautiful handcrafted homes for birds, leveraging their passion for arts and crafts and local craftsmanship. Heartwood's signature offerings include an array of exquisitely designed birdhouses, bird feeders, and butterfly houses, made primarily from high-quality cypress wood.

The brand further expanded its product line to incorporate outdoor furniture like swings and Adirondack chairs, along with essential beekeeping equipment. Prominent in the industry, Heartwood gained national recognition after showcasing their unique products at the International Gift and Home Furnishing Market. Even as Jerry has retired, he continues to design each avian masterpiece, ensuring that every piece remains handcrafted with love and expert craftsmanship.

Heartwood embodies the spirit of American entrepreneurship, fostering a community that inspires and mentors aspiring artisans in their creative pursuits
