About European Heart Network
European Heart Network (EHN) is a prominent alliance of member organizations, heart foundations, and non-governmental heart health organizations based in Brussels. Their primary focus is on preventing cardiovascular disease (CVD) in Europe. EHN plays a crucial role in reducing heart disease and stroke by advocating for improved cardiovascular health, connecting organizations involved in cardiovascular health, supporting patients, and conducting research.
With a vision of providing every European with a life free from avoidable cardiovascular diseases, EHN is dedicated to influencing EU policies related to cardiovascular health, representing the interests of patients, and disseminating information on health promotion, prevention, and optimal treatment and care of cardiovascular patients. They also prioritize capacity-building and empowering patient engagement in policy and research. EHN operates through expert groups, addressing specific concerns such as nutrition for a healthy heart and incorporating physical activity into daily life.
Additionally, as a member of the World Heart Federation, EHN actively contributes to advancing cardiovascular health promotion worldwide. For more information, please contact European Heart Network at +32 2 512 9174 or via email at info@ehnheart. org
