About EHRI Project
EHRI, the European Holocaust Research Infrastructure, is a brand dedicated to the research, commemoration, and education surrounding the Holocaust. With the belief that understanding this shared past is essential for the progress of modern, democratic Europe, EHRI's mission transcends national borders. They aim to connect sources, institutions, and people to overcome the fragmentation of Holocaust research.
Through the EHRI Portal, researchers can access information about Holocaust sources regardless of their location. The Conny Kristel Fellowship provides scholars with access to the world's leading Holocaust archives. EHRI also facilitates networking and training opportunities to bring people together.
Furthermore, EHRI promotes innovative tools to advance the digital transformation of Holocaust research. While EHRI's primary impact is scientific, it also advocates for open and non-discriminatory societies, combating recent rises in antisemitism and xenophobia. Currently supported by two project consortia, EHRI is working towards becoming a permanent organization by 2025, contributing to the future of trans-national Holocaust research, commemoration, and education
