Eifelrotte

Eifelrotte is an endurance-riding event organized in Germany’s Northern Eifel, a region its organizers describe as rugged, challenging, and beautiful throughout the year. The event brings together riders to explore selected local trails and experience the Eifel on horseback. Participants can choose from three rides: a short route of approximately 41 kilometers, a medium route of approximately 61 kilometers, or a long route of approximately 81 kilometers. Each course is divided into sections of around 20 kilometers, with the camp serving as the start, rest stop, and finish. Water is available along the routes for watering horses, and route maps or GPS details are provided in advance.

The event is organized by a team around Norbert and Lena, alongside Andrea Schorn and Marie Breuer, whose members bring connections to endurance riding and contribute their strengths to the planning. Eifelrotte also shares practical information about the ride, the camp, the Northern Eifel, and the area’s character, as well as stories to introduce riders to the setting.
