EIFL (Electronic Information for Libraries) works with libraries to enable access to knowledge in developing and transition economy countries in Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe and Latin America. * We build capacity by organizing training events, developing tools and resources, and providing up-to-date information on issues that affect access to knowledge. * We advocate for access to knowledge nationally and internationally. * We encourage knowledge sharing through peer-to-peer learning, best practice case studies, our annual conference and cooperation between library consortia. * We initiate pilot projects for innovative library services.

About EIFL
EIFL (Electronic Information for Libraries) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving access to knowledge in developing and transition economy countries across Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, and Latin America. In today's highly networked digital world, EIFL works with libraries to enable people to access and utilize essential information for education, learning, research, and sustainable community development. Their mission is to ensure that everyone has access to knowledge, regardless of economic constraints or legal barriers.
With library consortia in 38 countries and partnerships in an additional 15 countries, EIFL's network spans over 3,000 libraries. They offer a range of programs and initiatives, including licensing programs that provide access to e-resources, negotiated research support services, and open access programs. EIFL also promotes innovation in public libraries and addresses crucial societal issues such as literacy, economic wellbeing, empowering women and girls, health, open government, and social inclusion.
