About Economic Innovation Group
The Economic Innovation Group (EIG) is a bipartisan public policy organization headquartered in Washington, DC. Its mission is to help forge a more dynamic and inclusive American economy. EIG produces nationally recognized research and works with policymakers to develop ideas that empower workers, entrepreneurs, and communities. Its work spans economic dynamism, entrepreneurship, small business, housing, economic geography, demographic change, immigration, remote work, and retirement security.
EIG offers research reports, analysis, policy recommendations, and practical resources on issues affecting the U.S. economy. Its projects include the Distressed Communities Index, the Index of State Dynamism, an interactive asset income map, and tools for exploring community economic well-being. The organization also advances policy initiatives concerning Opportunity Zones, zoning reform, non-compete agreements, skilled immigration, and retirement security. Alongside its research and policy work, EIG shares news and events, publishes the Agglomerations newsletter, and produces The New Bazaar podcast. It brings together experts and practitioners through its leadership team, advisory boards, and Policy Council, and invites policymakers, investors, entrepreneurs, economists, and others to engage with its work.
