Alumni are also encouraged to offer valuable advice to current ALTs navigating their journey in Japan or transitioning back home. Both platforms are created and managed by Annette Lee, who is passionate about supporting the ALT community. About Eigo Ganbare
Eigo Ganbare: A Resource Website for ALTs Welcome to Eigo Ganbare, a team-teaching resource website designed specifically for ALTs (Assistant Language Teachers) in Japan. Founded in 2010 by Annette Lee, a former JET (Japan Exchange Teaching) program participant and direct hired ALT, Eigo Ganbare aims to address the unique challenges faced by ALTs in Japanese schools. At Eigo Ganbare, we understand the importance of quality educational resources and effective lesson planning for ALTs.
Our website provides a range of lessons categorized into English Level 1, English Level 2, and English Level 3, catering to different proficiency levels. In addition, we offer a Pen Pal Project, which promotes cultural exchange between students and ALTs. Our vision is to bridge an equitable English education for all students while allowing ALTs to share their country's culture and customs.
We believe that through team-teaching and innovative ideas, we can help students in Japan reach their fullest potential and introduce them to EdTech. To support this project, we encourage contributions and have set up a Patreon page for donations. We also provide resources and support for ALTs, including mentoring, information on ALTing in Japan, and JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) preparation.
