Eine Zeitung, often abbreviated “EZ,” is a German satire magazine that published humorous articles and mock news stories from 2010 to 2021. It describes itself tongue-in-cheek as Germany’s third- or fourth-largest satire magazine. Its writing takes aim at public life, media habits, politics, institutions, and everyday absurdities, presenting invented scenarios in the style of serious news. Topics in its archive range from a police search for a child’s monster to fictional changes in laws, technology, and social customs.

The site’s “Best of Eine Zeitung 2010–2021” collection brings selected articles from the magazine’s extensive back catalogue to readers again. Its editors say they choose pieces they consider especially successful, as well as articles that happen to catch their attention. The collection was presented as a growing selection, with new archive entries intended to appear every few days and the project expected to run until around April 2024.
