Eirs Jord

Eirs Jord is a Stavanger-based initiative focused on composting, community connection, and practical environmental learning. Its work centers on making composting accessible to households and businesses while helping create local, resilient communities and healthier soil. Through NaboKompost, neighbors in urban areas such as Stavanger East can compost food scraps together, turning organic waste into living soil and putting circular practices into action. The initiative also develops neighborhood composting communities, including NaboKompost Emmaus, with an emphasis on regenerative solutions and community-led change.

Eirs Jord offers composting courses, including gatherings where beginners and experienced participants can share knowledge, learn together, and explore composting in practice. For children and students in kindergartens, schools, and after-school programs, it provides educational activities that connect composting and growing with the journey from soil to table and back to soil. The organization also shares articles and inspiration on topics such as care-based ecology, community, and environmentally friendly composting solutions for businesses.
