Eisdealerin

The Eisdealerin is a Leipzig ice-cream business bringing distinctive frozen treats to customers from a bright pink cargo bike fitted with an ice chest. Its ice cream is made by Thommy’s Eismanufaktur in Wahren, where a trained master baker creates a changing selection that goes well beyond familiar favourites. Alongside vanilla, strawberry and chocolate, the range may include unusual flavours such as hops, pumpkin seed, apple and celery, and tonka.

Local inspiration also features, including ice cream based on the Leipzig specialty Leipziger Lerche. The ice creams are made without milk or cream, so all varieties are vegan and lactose-free, with an emphasis on intense flavour. The Eisdealerin also bakes its own crisp, gluten-free cones.

Because the cargo bike has limited storage and the assortment changes regularly, the available flavours can vary from visit to visit. Customers are encouraged to stop by often and explore what is on offer, making each visit an opportunity to discover a different combination of creative, locally made ice cream and homemade cones
